Check a vehicle's VIN

Enter the 17-character VIN of any US-market vehicle to see the basic details on record. Useful when buying a car at auction or from a seller, to confirm the vehicle matches what is being advertised.

Tip: you can usually find the VIN on the dashboard near the windshield, on the driver's door frame, or on the registration document.

This information comes from the US NHTSA vPIC public database. It shows what was on record at manufacture and is provided for general reference only — it may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it does not confirm a vehicle's current condition, mileage, accident history, title status, or ownership. Always perform your own due diligence and verify the vehicle independently before purchasing. Cassandra Logistics does not guarantee the accuracy of this data.

For vehicles & machinery: high-value cars usually ship in a 20ft or 40ft container (often enclosed/sole-use). Oversized or tall equipment that won’t fit through the doors goes on a flat-rack or open-top. Tell us your dimensions and we’ll recommend the right option.

CBM & weight calculator

Work out cubic metres (CBM), volumetric weight, and convert between common shipping units.

Volumetric weight for sea freight is calculated as 1 CBM = 1000 kg. Carriers charge on whichever is greater — actual or volumetric weight. Container fill % uses ~33 m³ (20ft) and ~76 m³ (40ft HC) and is a rough guide before stacking and securing.

Global seaport lookup

Choose a country to see its recognised seaports (source: UN/LOCODE). Useful for naming a destination or origin port on your booking.

Ports are drawn from the United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations (UN/LOCODE). Not every listed location handles every cargo type — confirm your routing with us before booking.
