About Cassandra Logistics
What does Cassandra Logistics do?

Cassandra Logistics is a US-based, federally licensed NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) and Ocean Transportation Intermediary, FMC license OTI No. 025125NF. We specialize in the containerized export of vehicles and heavy equipment from the United States to destinations worldwide — including classic and collector cars, auction-won vehicles, and used construction machinery. We aim to be the single, accountable solution provider for cargo that deserves expert handling.

What is an NVOCC, and why does it matter?

An NVOCC is a licensed ocean carrier that handles your shipment directly rather than passing it down a chain of brokers. Working with a licensed NVOCC means one accountable party manages your export from origin to destination port. For high-value cargo like classic cars and heavy machinery, that accountability matters — it is the difference between a clear point of responsibility and a shipment bounced between middlemen.

Is Cassandra Logistics licensed and bonded?

Yes. Cassandra Logistics is a federally licensed and bonded Ocean Transportation Intermediary, operating as an NVOCC under FMC license OTI No. 025125NF.

Cars & classic vehicles
How do I ship a classic or collector car from the USA to Europe?

High-value classic and collector cars are best shipped in an enclosed or sole-use container to protect them in transit. The process is straightforward with a specialist: we collect the vehicle (nationwide pickup available), load and secure it at our warehouse, handle the US export filing (AES/EEI), and ship to your chosen European port. We focus on premium European lanes including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. Read our full guide to shipping a classic car to Europe.

Can you export a car I won at a US auction like Copart, IAA or Manheim?

Yes. We regularly export vehicles won at Copart, IAA, Manheim and eBay Motors. We can collect the vehicle directly from the auction yard through our nationwide towing network, bring it to our warehouse, and handle the full export to your destination overseas. See our guide to exporting auction-won cars.

Do you offer vehicle pickup and towing?

Yes. We offer automobile towing from any state. Our nationwide network collects your vehicle wherever it is in the country and brings it to our loading warehouse, so you never have to arrange transport yourself.

Heavy equipment & machinery
Do you ship used heavy equipment bought at auction?

Yes. We export used heavy and construction equipment purchased at auctions such as Ritchie Bros., IronPlanet and Purple Wave. Depending on size, machinery ships containerized, on flat-rack, or by heavy haulage, with expert dismantling and securing where needed. Read our guide to exporting heavy equipment to Africa.

What container types do you use for vehicles and machinery?

Standard cars and trucks typically ship in 20ft or 40ft containers, often several per container as a full container load. High-value classics ship enclosed or in a sole-use container. Oversized or tall equipment that will not fit through container doors ships on flat-rack or open-top equipment. You can compare exact dimensions and capacities on our Shipping Tools page.

Destinations & routes
Which countries and ports do you ship to?

We ship worldwide, with a focus on high-value European lanes (Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Scandinavia), the Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman), Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco, Togo, Tanzania, Kenya), and across Asia. You can look up seaports in any country with our seaport lookup tool.

From which US locations do you export?

We operate exporting warehouses in New Jersey, Savannah (Georgia), Houston (Texas) and Baltimore (Maryland), with nationwide pickup to bring cargo to these loading points.

Paperwork & getting started
Do I need a US Tax ID or SSN to export?

A US Tax ID (SSN or EIN) is normally used for the US export filing through the Automated Export System (AES). Foreign shippers who do not have a US Tax ID can still ship — the supplier's Tax ID can be obtained legally using the official IRS Form W-9, and we guide you through it.

How do I get a shipping quote?

Use the quote form on our website: tell us what you are shipping, where it is now, and where it is going. We review every request and reply with a clear, competitive quote, usually within 24 to 48 hours. When you are ready to book, our online shipping form guides you through the details and produces your signed instructions as a PDF.
